A hobby farm with water access and space to explore!

We know how truly lucky we are to live in paradise and want to share this with others who share a passion for the outdoors, a love of animals and appreciate the reset that nature offers. We aim to keep our prices fair so that being able to take a break is accessible to all. â€‹

With each rental you will have access to a children's play area, a trampoline, a ninja line and a zip line  Kayaks, a canoe, a paddle boat and paddle boards are available to borrow. A life jacket is included and required to be worn. It is a first come first serve basis.

Please check back often as we build and update.

Our Story

Thank you for choosing to stay at Domaine Max and Lilly. We purchased in June of 2021 after falling in love with the wide open areas, the many walking trails as well as the water access.

Domaine Max and Lilly was chosen to honour our two senior dogs who passed away 40 days apart. They were our loyal companions for many years and still live on in our hearts and thoughts today.

The property is 35 acres and has walking / snowmobile / ATV trails on all sides with the exception of behind the apartment. Please feel free to explore!

Access to the water is located beside the large evergreen in front of the main house. There is a trail leading down, be sure you are prepared to get your feet wet as the water levels fluctuate and sometimes the trail has a little bit of water covering a portion of it. It is worth trekking through it, promise!

We have several chickens, roosters, ducks, turkeys and other species of birds; they lay if and when they want. The red ones lay red eggs and the black one the blue eggs.

We never know what new friends we will welcome to our hobby farm. At the time of writing this we have some friendly and playful goats as well as some very cute pigs. (some say beauty if in the eye of the owner) ;)

Your cell signal will likely be weak out here, please just let us know if you need to make a phone call, you are more than welcome to use the landline.

Depending on the season you will find a variety of berries, mushrooms as well as wildlife.

In spring turtles travel all the way to the apartment to lay eggs in the sand. Once the babies hatch, they make their way back to the lake. If you take a kayak, paddle board or canoe trip you will find turtles sunbathing on logs. We often wonder if perhaps they were born here.

There is a fox who visits mostly in the early morning hours but has been seen during the day, he is very nervous of us. A deer family lives nearby. One day Alex saw the babies getting milk from the mommy on the trail to the water. One morning he saw the mommy, daddy and a baby out for a stroll across the front lawn.

A groundhog has a hole near the fire pit, in front of the unoccupied shed as well as behind the apartment. Sometimes he pops up and has a look around.

There are several species of birds all over the property. This spring we found two who had been pushed out of the nest (or fell out) so we fed them until they opened their eyes and learned how to fly. Once they were ready they took flight to find a home of their own. Every once in awhile they stop by to say a little hello.

It is not uncommon to see wild turkeys strolling along the driveway or in the front where the sign is located. They are nervous and fast but if you are quiet you should be able to snap a picture should you desire.

There is a zip line, beside the main house, please feel free to use all of it. The zip line still needs a launch to be installed so for now it is jump on the seat and ride.

We hope you enjoy your stay!
